TRACES
Time escapes between the fingers,
nor has it the falcon in its talons.
In the hands, only traces:
sand, little piece of shell,
the dust of the temple, the petal dry
the mark of an alliance,
the scar of your bite.

VESTÍGIOS
O tempo escapa entre os dedos,
nem o falcão o contém entre as garras.
Nas mãos, só restam vestígios:
a areia, o pedacinho de concha,
o pó do templo, a pétala seca,
a marca de uma aliança,
a cicatriz da sua mordida.
